"Women of Grace" is the only nationally organized women's organization in the FGBC. Our purpose is to minister to women and help them in their growing relationship with Jesus Christ through Bible study and prayer, while also encouraging involvement in Grace Brethren missions and ministries through education, prayer, giving and participation in service projects, local outreach, and missions projects or trips.

"Women of Grace" has always been service-oriented. In the local church, that has often meant sponsoring bridal and baby showers, equipping church nurseries and kitchens, providing meals at times of hospitalization or death; volunteering in the church office; etc. In fact, some pastors have said that if you want something done, ask the WMC to do it. WMC women also faithfully pray for and correspond with missionaries and, in smaller churches, often take the place of a Missions Commission.

For many years the focus of our programs and resource materials was on international and home missions, although our national offering projects have always included home missions, Grace Schools and CE National. However, in recent years we have broadened our emphasis to include outreach and ministries in the local community, recognizing that our mission field is across the street as well as across the ocean.

As a missions organization, we realize that Women of Grace will not meet the needs of every woman in the local church. Therefore, in churches with other women's ministries as well, we encourage WMC to work in partnership with those groups, recognizing that by working together, all can accomplish more, and reach more women for Christ, than by working alone. We also encourage WMC's to build bridges to other women through outreach and need- or interest-based groups, with a goal of mentoring younger Christians, training them in Christian living and a ministry life-style. Our resource materials are an excellent source of ideas and information for including missions in any women's program.

Women of Grace is directed by elected officers at each local church who donate their time for service to all women.
