"SWAT" stands for "Students With A Testimony". SWAT is designed to help meet the spiritual needs of 7th, and 8th graders. Teenagers in our group are challenged to grow in their Christian faith and to take an active part in their relationship with Jesus Christ, while still being given plenty of opportunities for just having fun and developing their social skills. They serve two to four times per year at the Long Beach Rescue Mission, where they are taken out of their "comfort zone" and serve others as Jesus did.

During the school year, SWAT has a mid-week Bible study called Essence. Year round, they meet every Sunday morning at 9:45 AM for Sunday School in room 208 and every other Sunday evening at 7:15 PM for Sunday Night After Church, "SNAC". We usually meet twice a month for activities.

The verse that we have chosen to be our theme verse is Ephesians 6:19-20, "And don't forget to pray for me. Pray that I'll know what to say and have the courage to say is at the right time, telling the mystery to one and all, the message that I am responsible for getting out."

Tim & Kim Osburn are available to talk with teens and parents. Feel free to leave a message for them at the church office at (562) 925-6561 or send them an email if you have any questions.

Hope to see you soon!
